Perfect place for 2 nights. Our suite was very clean. Moreover, they had a free parking.
-
Stunning location, helpful staff, comfortable bed. Panoramic views. Easy base for celebrating anniversary, recommended.
-
We enjoyed the location and the sense of history, both at the hotel and the buildings surrounding it.Unfortunatly the weather was very cold, but the views from the top dining room were spectacular.
-
We booked two rooms. One was quite ordinary, the other large with great period features but a strange mezzanine bedroom and bathroom accessed by a modern sprial staircase. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The HOTEL atrium was lovely and of interesting architecture. Trattoria resto was excellent and reasonably priced. Location of hotel was terrific.
We had terrible noise problems from a nearby club in the valley below which kept us up until 4 thirty am with a thumping beat. Not at all enjoyable. Some little things like door knobs and locks seemed rather ordinary and slightly threadbare around the edges. Not really significant. Thought the first room (10) rather pricey. The other was magnificent and stately(04).

Location, helpful staff and good restaurant
They debited my credit card with one night immediately in spite of the comments on your site that the credit card number was for guarentee only
-
Stunning setting within the walls of Mdini. Rooms are regal.
The hot water is tepid at best.
-
From time to time bad water pressure, especially for the hot water
-
Beautiful palace in a magnificent location. Beautiful view.
"Luxury" is just in the building itself (17th Century). Bedrooms are too small and lack good furniture. Basic amenities in the bathroom. Rooms don't correspond to pictures. Bed was not king size as advertised. Definitely overpriced.
-
The setting inside Mdina makes for a wonderful atmosphere and a quiet, refreshing night's rest.
A slightly disorganized impresson, although front desk was very polite and helpful. Bathroom was not clean up to standard.
-
Excellent location, helpful staff and superb restaurant. Centrally located for visiting the island but well away from the busy tourist areas.
Sadly no pool.

We had the duplex room with living space on the upper part. It is a 500 years old palazzo built partly inside the city fortification, beside the bishop's palace, overlooking a small piazza surrounded by historic buildings. What else can I say for people going to stay in mdina, for its historic atmosphere. The room is clean, comfortable with cushions and has a lot of storage space.
It turned to be just fine but the interior is a little bit too modern/simplified considering to its history. So maybe its not what people lived in Spanish paradors would expect.

A true luxury hotel. Beautifully restored and although not technically a castle it certainly feels like one in the centre of M'dina. Excellent staff who not only carry out requests but anticipate any difficulties.
Really can't blame the hotel for the unusually bad weather conditions but a building of this age has problems with torrential rain and gale force winds.
-
The staff was wonderful, any request was happily met . Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way everyday. The food was fantastic!!!!!

Location/setting
Room had odd odor (like cat urine) and loud construction going on outside our room all day long.
-
Fantastic location, excellent service and value, a really special stay.
